Meet Lucie,

A lovely housewife who moonlights as a children's photographer. She has very pronounced bone structure, high cheekbones and bright blue eyes, so we thought she would make for a great canvas. When she's not being a super mom, she's running in charity marathons to raise money for Cancer in her local Voorburg area of The Hague.

Meryl Streep

Along with my trusty makeup artisan Christina Russa we decided to take on the challenge of transforming her into Meryl Streep. We agreed she could make a good stand in for a Hollywood actress. So I gathered some vintage and put some glamorous looks together. The fur coat and a leather trimmed blazer shown can be found on my webshop for sale.

For her hair, I made a fish tail braid and wove that into her crown. Created structure by braiding first a s-shaped crown with her own hair and later clipped in extra highlights. I was very inspired by Edwardian, Celtic & Viking hairstyles that involved a lot of regal braiding. This particular braid created a nice shadow and shape to the face and allowed more focus on the eyes. I used braiding hair in platinum blond to brighten her face & create a runway-like silhouette.

Christina started on Lucie with clean skin & a nice moisturizer on her face. To create depth and accentuate her face she used Powder Contour by Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour & Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. This can lift or create shadow for extra drama.
Her eyebrows were defined softly with Anastasia Makeup studio palette and blended with a blond brow powder. Once she created a soft and pretty contoured base she moved on to the fun part: bringing out those piercing blue eyes!  Lucile's eyelids were made smoky and brown with Kryolan Matte Warm Palette eyeshadow. Followed by mascara from Lancôme & Gel Liner NYX on the upper lashes and Make Up Studio concealer pencil on the lower lash. Lastly it's very important to capture the light on the cheeks and foremost facial features. These were kissed by Skin Highlighters from Anastasia Beverly Hills, and her lips by Viva Glam Nude from MAC.
Tip: Christina recommends RCMA translucent  powder as and Spray Fix from Mac as a last touch.
